Systems Safety Engineer

(Full time / permanent) The start date is as soon as possible, taking into consideration any applicable notice period. Hybrid Remote working opportunities will be given.

Description of the mission

  • Perform structured vehicle and systems-level safety risk analyses and report the results
  • Identify safety critical functions and components
  • Assist systems engineers in their design work to meet system safety requirements and demonstrate compliance
  • Support the design team in selecting equipment
  • Develop safety risk mitigation strategies together with systems engineers
  • Stay up to date with relevant regulations in the industry
  • Develop processes and best practices in the area of systems safety
  • Initiate and drive appropriate plans and actions to implement safety-related processes and practices


Required profile

  • University degree in aerospace engineering or other relevant engineering dicipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in systems safety work, preferably within the aerospace industry
  • Experience with relevant safety-related regulations and standards, preferably within the aerospace industry
  • Experience in the unmanned, autonomous vehicle or helicopter industry is an asset
  • Important personal characteristics: Self-starter, team player, analytical mindset, with a clear, concise and to-the-point style of communication.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. German is an asset
