From Switzerland to the European Stage: CEO Raphael Schmid Among the Top 100

Raphael Schmid – together with the Interiman Group – has achieved something that very few Swiss HR service providers and their leaders have accomplished: entry into the prestigious Staffing 100 Europe list by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). In 2025, CEO Raphael Schmid is officially recognized as one of the most influential figures in the European staffing industry. Since his time as Managing Director of Flexsis AG and his appointment as CEO of the Interiman Group in August last year, he has united the specialized brands on a national level, expanded the service portfolio, and positioned the Group as a comprehensive HR partner through the integration of 360° HR solutions.

This recognition goes far beyond personal merit: it proves that a Swiss company, deeply rooted locally, with clear values, specialization, and innovative strength, can compete alongside the world’s international players.

European Visibility Through Swiss Strength

Raphael Schmid recalls the moment of the announcement: “It was early in the morning in the mountains. Joy, pride, confirmation, and recognition – that’s how I would describe my feelings on this special day, as I had no prior knowledge of the selection process.” He is pleased that the award honors the collective work and mindset of the entire Group. “We know there is still a long road ahead. This recognition is a signal that we are on the right path.”

The Interiman Group is firmly rooted in Switzerland. With over 70 branches, ten specialized brands, and a 6% market share in the Swiss staffing market, it is the country’s largest HR service provider. For more than 27 years, the Group has been refining its understanding of the market, candidates, and both national and international clients – building a strong position at the European level as well.

“Our specialization strategy, the integration of our 360° HR solutions – from temporary staffing to consulting and training – our closeness to clients and candidates, and our lived corporate culture clearly set us apart from many other staffing providers in Switzerland and across Europe,” explains Raphael Schmid.

The recognition also comes at just the right time: “Our expansion into Portugal marks the beginning of our European growth, and soon we will also be active in Italy and France.” At the same time, he emphasizes that the Group’s success is built on clear principles: “For me, leadership is not about discussing complex models, but about consistently living the basics: ethics, empathy, listening, transparency, and fairness.”

Values in Action: PAICA at Work

The Interiman Group lives by a strong set of values that are visible in day-to-day operations. Passion, Action, Initiative, Collaboration, and Ambition are not empty words but guiding principles that shape decisions, projects, and interactions. “With us, everyone has the chance to truly make a difference – whether in developing a new service or implementing innovative projects,” stresses Schmid.

On Equal Footing With Candidates and Clients

A key success factor of the Interiman Group is the ability to connect with people in their language – professionally, linguistically, and culturally. Whether in German-speaking Switzerland, Ticino, or Romandy, with clients in healthcare, hospitality, or industry, or candidates in construction, crafts, life sciences, or watchmaking: the Group’s consultants combine intercultural competence with deep sector expertise gained from professional experience. This dual understanding creates trust and enables tailored solutions that benefit both candidates and clients alike.

Team Strength Through Specialization and Digitalization

The Group’s individual brands – such as Medicalis, albedis, Hotelis, and Flexsis – deliver concentrated expertise in their fields, making the Group an HR powerhouse. At the same time, valuable synergies arise that enable a strong national brand strategy. This is reinforced by digitalization initiatives that streamline processes and improve both client and candidate experiences. The combination of specialization, digital efficiency, and analogue excellence is a key reason why the Interiman Group is among Europe’s Top 100.

Voices From the Field

“Being part of one of Europe’s Top 100 companies is both a great honor and a strong motivation,” says Mathumitha Vijayaragavan, Branch Manager of Medicalis Bern. For her, the value Passion resonates especially in healthcare: “It’s not just about knowledge, but about being there for people with heart and dedication. Every day I see how our passion for our work is reflected in the satisfaction of clients and candidates. Those who work with us know that we build genuine relationships, not just placements.”

Chantal Witz, Branch Manager of Hotelis Bern, emphasizes the human side of her work: “For me, Passion is more than a value – it is the foundation of my profession. In the hospitality and gastronomy sectors, it is crucial to understand people and respond to their needs. I myself worked more than 15 years in hospitality, and that experience helps me engage with candidates and clients on equal terms. Our personal support and daily direct contact make the difference.”

Paolo Nocco, Business Manager of albedis Bern, focuses on Ambition: “When I heard about the recognition, I felt both proud and motivated – not only to maintain our level but to keep raising the bar. In recruitment, there is no such thing as standing still. Especially while building albedis in Bern, I’ve seen how vital it is to pursue ambitious goals with consistency while remaining flexible. Every day brings new challenges that help us grow as a team.”

Jan Schwab, Branch Manager of Flexsis Bern, embodies the value Action: “For me, Action means that every initiative makes an impact. I see daily how Action, Initiative, and Cooperation go hand in hand. I’m proud that we’ve become a serious player, offering a wide range of services. We show that top performance is only possible when everyone contributes with passion.”

Looking Ahead

Being ranked among Europe’s Top 100 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Interiman Group – one in which digitalization, human-centricity, and sustainable growth are at the forefront.

CEO Raphael Schmid summarizes this vision: “The journey has only just begun. We want to future-proof the company without losing our DNA. Our values – Passion, Action, Initiative, Cooperation, and Ambition – will continue to guide and drive us as we pursue our goals with the same energy and dedication that led us into Europe’s Top 100.”
