Sebastian Tobien joins Interiman Group as Head of the newly established Strategic Business Solutions division

The Interiman Group continues to strengthen its strategic capabilities within the Digital & Marketing department: with the arrival of Sebastian Tobien, we welcome an experienced leader and entrepreneur as Lead Strategic Business Solutions, a newly created role that is central to the commercial scaling of our digital transformation. Together with his team, Sebastian will play a crucial role in deliberately advancing our digital infrastructure, driving operational excellence, and implementing customer- and candidate-centric solutions with clear business impact.

Sebastian Tobien brings over 15 years of leadership experience from the hospitality, event, and service industries. As the former CEO of dean&david Switzerland, he was instrumental in the brand’s growth and strategic realignment, including successfully managing the COVID-related restructuring. Most recently, he led Congress Kursaal Interlaken AG, where he not only modernized the MICE business but also made significant contributions in live communication and cultural development.

Digital efficiency meets human excellence

This is exactly where the new Strategic Business Solutions division comes in: It acts as an internal sparring partner and operational accelerator for all Interiman Group brands, including Flexsis, Hotelis, Medicalis, and albedis. Together with the teams of our recruitment agencies, Sebastian analyzes processes close to operational reality, identifies economically relevant levers, and develops scalable, cross-brand solutions with direct business impact. The aim is to deliberately realize efficiency potential, reduce administrative burden, and measurably improve time-to-service, client and candidate satisfaction, as well as market differentiation through powerful self-service portals, data-driven feedback loops, or the targeted use of AI in operational processes. In doing so, the Strategic Business Solutions division creates not only relief but also lasting impact across the entire value chain.

Shaped by challenging roles such as the restructuring at dean&david during the pandemic or managing complex live formats in event gastronomy, he embodies an open culture of learning from mistakes, allowing development potential to be fully realized: “I learned early on that people grow when you give them trust and space. Privately, Sebastian Tobien finds balance in sports, enjoyment, and mindful retreat, not as a contrast to work but as a prerequisite for sustainable performance. “What drives me is the challenge and a team that wants to make a difference together.”
